High Speed Internet On The Go
The age of information is here. Everyday, thousands of data are being created, sent, downloaded, uploaded, and shared among netizens across the globe. Since the invention of the Internet, there has been a huge change in the way information has circulated. And with the intervention of technology, Internet itself also evolved from the slow-paced dial ups several years ago, up to the high-speed Internet connections and even wireless ones these days.
Wireless high-speed Internet nowadays is the most popular trend, as people would always want to get connected. However, there’s one limitation in using the internet through personal computers and laptops, these can never be brought conveniently by a consumer anytime or anywhere he/she likes to. Internet consumers would want to stay connected to the net even if they’re at the most unexpected places. Well, what’s one thing that a person can carry without any hassle everyday? Cellular phones. With the goal of providing Internet access anytime and anywhere, wireless cellular Internet connections were established.
Wireless cellular phones actually have a set of standards named as 1G, 2G, 3G and the latest 4G that offer phone services which are upgraded as the generation (G) increases. It is good to note that wireless cellular phone standards are different from wireless Internet standards such as Wi-Fi. However, some phones actually have fused the two standards together.
As mentioned, 4G or also termed as “beyond 3G,” is the newest member of the wireless cellular communication standards. As the latest member, 4G boasts more power and high speed internet rates as compared to its predecessors. This new baby provides a comprehensive IP solution; enabling voice, data, ultra-broadband Internet, games, and streamed multimedia to be accessed by consumers – anytime and anywhere.
This 4G technology proves to be an improved model in their family, successfully mimicking the services offered by its precursor (3G), but in a more developed state. This fourth generation installment aims to deliver quality of service in its applications such as mobile broadband access, video chat, mobile TV, Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), and even new services such as HDTV.
Indeed, this 4G development is a way for consumers to access high-speed Internet on the go. And as mobile phones get continuously upgraded even more rapidly than computers, it would not be surprising if some time from now another generation will be born
